A dress should be cut for the body that wears it.
From the founder
I started Torvia because I couldn’t find the dresses I wanted. Clean lines. A strong silhouette. A beautiful fabric. Not resort wear, not loud prints. Dresses that are fun and a little daring, and that make you feel powerful the moment you put them on, because you know you look incredible.
That feeling is the whole idea. Empowered, never exposed. And a strong silhouette only works when the dress is cut for the body wearing it, so that is where we begin.
I couldn’t find these dresses for women like me, so I’m building them.

The name
Torvia. The unflinching gaze.
Torvia comes from the Latin torvus, a keen, piercing gaze. It is the feeling of walking into a room, knowing you look incredible, and letting every eye land on you. We make dresses for that moment. Strong in silhouette. Rich in fabric. Playful, confident and a little daring.
